Product description
This is a vintage glass decanter by the American manufacturer Summit Art Glass. The piece is notable for its figural design, expertly crafted in the shape of a proud cockerel, a characteristic motif from the maker. Produced from clear, pressed glass, the decanter is constructed in two parts: the main body of the bottle and the cockerel's head, which functions as the stopper. The surface is richly textured to depict feathers, with the comb and wattle rendered in fine detail. A 'V in a circle' maker's mark, associated with the Vogelsong family who ran the company, is visible on the base, authenticating its origin. The stopper includes a plastic seal to ensure a secure fit. The decanter presents in a very good state of preservation, consistent with its age.
