For sale: vintage design by Gispen, designed by Martin de Wit in the 1960s. An icon of Dutch industrial design.
Characteristic of this model is the chrome-plated tubular frame with the unique triangular backrest and the original black Bakelite armrests. What stands out are the beautiful lines of the armrests with the black supports on top.
Designer: Martin de Wit
Manufacturer: Gebr. De Witt Schiedam, (likely) for Gispen; this model is attributed to Gispen by professional sellers. Martin de Witt is known for his recognizable design (triangle).
Condition: Frame and chrome in very good vintage condition; the chrome and Bakelite are completely intact, which speaks volumes about the quality. The armrests are still a beautiful black, and the seat has been reupholstered.
