This timeless design classic belongs to the absolute heritage of Italian modernism: elegant, technically brilliant, and still one of the most coveted chairs in the world today.
Designer Gio Ponti developed the Superleggera in 1957 as the ultimate experiment in lightness. Inspired by the traditional Chiavari chair, he reduced the weight to just 1.7 kg, thanks to the refined triangular ash wood frame. The result is a chair you can literally lift with a finger, yet remains exceptionally strong and durable—a true example of pure craftsmanship.
