West German Regula Sprinty Camera (King KG, late 1950s/early 1960s, West Germany) – Mechanically functional. A beautiful example of the classic Regula Sprinty 35mm camera, manufactured at the turn of the 1950s and early 1960s by the renowned Regula-Werk King KG in Bad Liebenzell (West Germany/West Germany). At the heart of the camera is a fast Isco-Göttingen Color Gotar 1:2.8 / 45 mm lens and the legendary, fully mechanical Prontor 250 S shutter. The camera works with standard, readily available 35mm film (type 135). About Regula-Werk King KG: The German brand King KG, founded by the King family, became famous in the post-war period for the production of exceptionally robust and well-designed Regula series viewfinder and rangefinder cameras. Their designs from the 1950s and 1960s were distinguished by their ergonomic trigger position, excellent German optics, and timeless design combining metal with an elegant, black veneer structure, making them very popular throughout Western Europe.
Technical and visual condition:
Mechanical: The camera is in good mechanical condition. The cocking action is smooth, and the shutter responds dynamically to the trigger (clicks). The focus, aperture, and shutter speed rings on the lens operate with proper resistance. The device has not been tested with photographic film.
Visual condition: The condition is visible in the attached photo (real photo) – very nice and well-cared for. The metal parts of the body and the black veneer are clean, with no dents or deep scratches.
