George Boellaard's reproduction of the oil painting "The Grey Horse" by Phillip Wouwermans. The original painting by Wouwermans dates from 1646 and is a masterpiece of the Dutch Golden Age. The original painting "The Grey Horse" is part of the Rijksmuseum's permanent collection. The copy you see here was painted in 1991 by the prolific Dutch restorer and author George Boellaard. The painting is signed on the back. The oil painting is painted on a wooden panel and is unframed. Boellaard is a celebrated figure in the world of art restoration with decades of experience, an extensive oeuvre, and an international clientele.
