New Gelderland 5470 Lotus armchair with footstool, upholstered in Kvadrat Steelcut Quartet 944 with a chrome base. The 5470 Lotus was designed by Jan des Bouvrie in 1989. For the shape of the seat, he was inspired by the rear of a Porsche 911. Steelcut Quartet is a high-quality upholstery fabric from Kvadrat, designed in terms of color scheme by Giulio Ridolfo. The fabric is constructed from four different colored yarns, creating a deep, mottled structure. With 100,000 Martindale and pilling class 4–5, it is a very durable upholstery fabric.
