A sculptural, extravagant yet elegant modernist chandelier designed in the 1970s by the celebrated Italian lighting designer Gaetano Sciolari, whose Space Age geometric fixtures defined the look of an era and were exported to the United States through Lightolier.
The chandelier is built around a striking angular, grid-like composition. Vertical polished chrome tubes support the sockets above and are finished below with cylindrical Lucite tube finials that catch and refract the light. A rhythmic arrangement of rectangular chrome bars, with a soft matte finish that contrasts beautifully against the high-polish cylinders, connects the eight illuminated arms and the decorative Lucite elements into a single kinetic, architectural sculpture.
Fully functional with nine E14 sockets, the fixture adapts to your taste: classic chrome-tipped round bulbs, tubular bulbs, or LED all complement it handsomely. Paired with a dimmer, it produces a warm, candlelight-like glow.
Retains its original Sciolari manufacturer’s label — a rare and desirable mark of authenticity for the collector.
