Designed in 1965 by the visionary Italian architect and designer Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce, the "Pipistrello" lamp transcends time. With its silhouette inspired by bat wings, it has established itself as a masterpiece of 20th-century design, exhibited in the world's greatest museums.
Here we offer the original large-format version, featuring its black lacquered conical base and its ingenious telescopic stainless steel arm (bearing the designer's engraved signature). Condition Report: Good vintage condition.
The lamp is in perfect working order (wiring checked, telescopic mechanism moves smoothly). The sumptuous opal diffuser and stainless steel arm are in excellent condition.
Condition Note: The black lacquered base shows some age-related dents. However, these marks are concentrated on the back of the base, near the power cord exit. When viewed from the front, the lamp presents an impeccable aesthetic, and the flaws are invisible. A rare opportunity to acquire this masterpiece at a special price.
