A raw, industrial object with an unexpectedly funky twist. This rare lamp, produced by VEB Leuchtenbau Wittenberg in the former GDR (East Germany), dates from the late 1980s. Designed for utilitarian environments, it's now a beloved design statement.
The lamp features a long glass cylinder housing two fluorescent tubes. Around this are two purple sleeves, which filter the light and create an intense pink/magenta glow. The result is an almost neon-like effect that instantly creates ambiance and transforms the space—raw, playful, and undeniably striking.
