For sale: AC04 CU fruit bowl and colander, designed by Achille Castiglioni for Alessi, limited edition in copper, numbered 466/999, signed. Alessi marking present. Created in 1995 from the ingenious fusion of two classic household objects, the bowl and the colander, the AC04 earned Castiglioni, then 77 years old, the Prix du Conseil National des Arts Culinaires de Paris as Young Designer of the Year. This copper version was produced in a limited edition of only 999 pieces to commemorate the centenary of Achille Castiglioni's birth in 2018, and was presented exclusively at Maison & Objet Paris. Its matte copper finish lends the piece an added warmth and elegance, making it one of the most desirable editions in the Alessi collection. Very good overall condition, with a few minor scratches consistent with use.
