Nice watercolor by Freek van den Berg. Hand signed and in good condition. 51 x 32 cm. Freek van den Berg (Amsterdam 1918 - Veessen 2000) belongs to the Fauvist group and was one of the last Dutch painters to work in this expressive and colorful way. His oeuvre includes diverse representations, from cityscapes and landscapes, but especially the theme in which women repeatedly return. He was a member of the "independents" and an art critic. Several books have been published about his oeuvre. You can see the influences of Kees van Dongen in his works. The work comes directly from the heirs of Freek van den Berg and its authenticity is therefore guaranteed. The work is in good condition. ref: FR21081
