Elegant set of four high-quality Art Deco chairs, presumably from the 1920s/1930s. The chairs impress with their clear, balanced design, the slightly curved front legs, and the broadly proportioned, upholstered backrests. The frames are made of solid mahogany and are very solidly crafted. Despite the comparatively delicate lines, the chairs appear exceptionally stable and high-quality. The dark brown, beautifully preserved wooden surfaces show a warm, elegant character and only age-appropriate signs of wear. Particularly attractive is the complete upholstery of the seat and backrest. The gold to champagne-colored, relief-patterned fabric harmonizes very well with the dark mahogany. Based on appearance and workmanship, it may still be the historical or original upholstery; however, this cannot be guaranteed with certainty. The upholstery is pleasantly firm, comfortable, and overall very well preserved. The surrounding brass decorative nails on the seat and back emphasize the representative character of the chairs and create a beautiful contrast to the mahogany. A highly decorative and at the same time very usable chair ensemble with high-quality materials and workmanship – suitable for both a classic Art Deco interior and as a deliberate contrast in a modern setting. Condition: Very good, stable, and usable condition. Good wooden surfaces and well-maintained upholstery; minor age and use-related traces present.
