Exceptional Italian design lamp model โReflozโ by Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato for Foscarini.
Foscarini was founded in 1981 on the island of Murano, known for its centuries-old tradition of glassblowing. Although the company originated in the glass industry, it quickly developed into an independent lighting brand working with various materials.
Foscarini lighting can be found in high-end design stores, hotels, restaurants, and private homes all over the world. The lamps are frequently exhibited in museums and design exhibitions.
The brand has won numerous international design awards, including the Compasso d'Oro, one of the most prestigious design awards in the world.
The Refloz model was presented in Frankfurt in January 1983 and at Euroluce in Milan in September 1983, and remained in production until 1994. This lamp is on display at the Cooper-Hewitt National Collective Design Museum in New York. Both the angled conical base and the round blue turquoise diffuser are made of hand-blown Murano glass. The top of the conical base is made of copper and is serrated so that the angle of the diffuser can be adjusted.
This lamp originally came with a halogen bulb, but it has been replaced by an LED bulb.
Base height: 37 cm
Diffuser diameter: 47 cm
