Hand-carved linoleum plate,

In Forest Dream, the landscape breathes between day and night.
The sun and the moon share the same sky and move like silent watchmen above a forest that is never quite awake and never quite asleep. Wavy lines flow through air and hills like invisible breaths; a rhythm that cuts through trees, earth, and horizon.
This work is not printed from a linoleum plate—the plate itself is the artwork. Every line was carved by hand with gouges, giving the surface a tangible depth and vibrancy. Light glides over the reliefs, constantly changing the experience of the landscape.
Forest Dream depicts the connection between sun and moon, between growth and rest, between the visible and the invisible.
The forest becomes a dream world in which nature has its own breath and time seems to stand still for a moment.
A unique, hand-carved work that invites stillness and wonder. Anneke Winterman is a passionate woman who is engaged in making art, nature photography, and being in nature every day. She sows, plants, and photographs her own flowers and plants in her own garden. She completed her studies in Autonomous Visual Arts at the Utrecht University of the Arts. While at art school, she already worked full days creating artworks, from morning until closing time. She has participated in group exhibitions, held solo exhibitions in her own region, and several of her works have been included in various publications.
