Product description
This is the Sculpture 'Flos Vitae' by the artist, made from forged iron and colored glass. The work derives its name and concept from the Flower of Life, a symbol representing the elements sun, moon, and earth. The Sculpture is constructed from fire-forged iron, finished with a special coating that gives the metal a deep, black-brown color and a subtle sheen. Three blocks of two-centimeter-thick, mass-colored Albertini glass are inlaid into the iron frame. The colors are yellow, orange, and blue. The glass is hand-cut, resulting in a layered, lively texture that contrasts with the raw metal. The object is in good condition, consistent with the nature of the materials and the artisanal production method. The rough finish and the texture of both the iron and the glass are intentional features of the design. The metal base shows a patina that contributes to the character of the piece. This Sculpture is an expressive object that fits well into a modern, industrial, or eclectic interior.
