Italy - 1960-1970. Exceptional Taraxacum 2 pendant light, designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and produced by Flos. A true icon of 20th-century Italian design, this piece is made using the renowned Cocoon process, which involves spraying resin onto a metal frame, creating a soft and warm light. The diffuser has a superb period patina, with a homogeneous texture and is in excellent condition. The metal frame is perfectly sound, and the pendant retains all its sculptural presence. Condition: Very good overall condition, consistent with its age. The Cocoon diffuser is well-preserved and has a beautiful patina. Note four small, discreet perforations in the coating, which do not affect the strength or the diffusion of light. The internal metal frame shows slight traces of superficial oxidation, consistent with the age of the piece, without impacting its stability or functionality.
