The PH80 floor lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen for the renowned Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen, is an iconic example of Scandinavian lighting design. This specific model, first created in 1974 in honor of the designer's eightieth birthday, perfectly illustrates his theory of glare-free lighting through a layered shade system. This particular lamp dates from 2005. The construction consists of a chrome-plated steel stand resting on a weighted black base. The characteristic shades are crafted from white opal acrylic, ensuring a diffuse, soft light distribution in the room. The top reflector is finished in a contrasting red color, a subtle detail that adds a warm glow to the light. The original Louis Poulsen label, stating 'Made in Denmark', is present on the underside of the base, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
