For sale is an extremely rare, possibly even unique, Art Deco lamp from the 1920s.
Almost all of the brass components of this lamp were handcrafted. Therefore, it can be assumed that only a very small number of these lamps were produced.
The base consists of nine individual pieces that were soldered together. The canopy over the lamp shade was hand-hammered. The lamp neck was shaped from a single piece of brass tubing.
Only the tilting mechanism for adjusting the lamp shade and the lamp socket are mass-produced items from that era.
This very difficult manufacturing process makes this lamp something truly special, and it is unlikely that another of its kind will be found.
The lamp has been meticulously cleaned and freed from the grime of the last 100 years, completely rewired, and is now in restored, fully functional, original condition.
