Offered for sale: A magnificent and very rare antique silver asparagus scoop by the renowned Viennese court jeweler Schwarz & Steiner (active between 1903 and 1924). This exclusive piece of table silver is executed in an elegant Jugendstil/Art Nouveau style and is in excellent, authentic condition. Features: Maker: Schwarz & Steiner (Vienna, Austria) Mark: Stamped with the original factory mark 'Schwarz Steiner' (historically correct execution without the & sign) and bearing the official Austrian Diana head cloverleaf hallmark (before 1922). Authenticity has been checked and confirmed by an expert. Weight: 160 grams Design: The wide scoop features beautiful, finely hand-sawn openwork (ajour), floral decoration, refined engravings, and the whiplash lines typical of Art Nouveau. This ensures that cooking liquid drains away perfectly. Condition: Excellent. The silver has been cleaned very carefully and professionally, deliberately preserving the original, deeper patina in the engravings to maintain its character and depth. No dents or deep scratches.
