Homogeneous set of six old wooden bistro / cafe chairs, showing a very beautiful natural patina. Their design is sober and characteristic of European cafe furniture from the mid-20th century: slightly curved backrest with two crossbars, profiled wooden seat, and base reinforced by stretchers. The six chairs show a pronounced and particularly decorative old patina, with wear on the seats, color variations, and traces of use. They are deliberately offered in their current state, without restoration or sanding, to preserve this character. No manufacturer's stamp or label having been found, I prefer not to attribute a manufacturer or designer to them without proof. Set purchased in Belgium around 2015 from an antique consignment store. Sale of the six chairs together. They are suitable both around a Dining chairs and in a vintage interior, a cafe, restaurant, workshop, or design project. Vintage condition with traces of use visible in the photographs, related to age and use: superficial scratches, color variations, and wear on the seats and backrests. These traces contribute to the old patina of the chairs. They have deliberately not been sanded or restored.
Complete structure, with no broken leg or backrest. As is common with unrestored old chairs, slight play from use may be present in some joints.
The photographs allow for a precise appreciation of their condition. Please examine them carefully, as they are an integral part of the description.
