Product description
This is a nineteenth-century chest of drawers in the characteristic Empire style. The piece of furniture is distinguished by its robust, architectural design and the rich grain of the wood, which is typical of furniture art from this period. The cabinet is crafted from walnut wood with a warm brown hue and a striking, flamed grain structure. The design features three spacious drawers, each fitted with round wooden knobs and central keyholes. The front is flanked by two sleek columns with subtle, brass-colored capitals and bases, resting on sturdy, square block legs. The construction displays authentic dovetail joints at the drawers, indicating traditional craftsmanship. The chest of drawers is in a condition commensurate with its age, although some pieces of veneer are damaged. The finish and patina contribute to the authentic appearance of the piece.
