The gifted designer Elena Graure Manta is an International Glass Artist with an academic education in glass and porcelain art. She has enormous experience in all kinds of glass applications. Elena exhibits all over the world and several winning designs are housed in museums. She exhibited in the Netherlands in the bag museum in Amsterdam and with other artful glass creations in the Jan van der Togt museum in Amstelveen. In the latter museum there are glass shoes designed by her. She has great craftsmanship in the field of glass.
Elena Graure-Manta was born in Romania (1956). She studied glass and porcelain arts in Klausenburg (Romania) and now lives in Germany, where she works in her own studio. In the glass objects of Elena Graure-Manta one recognizes both objects from everyday life and pure fantasy. She made a series of glass ladies' shoes and handbags. In addition, glass 'fantasy cars' have recently taken an increasingly prominent place in her work. The glass objects from Graure-Manta are very colorful and contain many details, which makes each object unique and exciting.
In 1985 she obtained the 'Coburger Glasspreis für Moderne Glasgestaltung' and since then Graure-Manta has exhibited all over the world (including the United States and Japan), but mainly in Germany. The following museums/institutions have work in their collection:
