Price for lamp including shade and cordless light bulb
This unique accent lamp is based on an original Bay Keramik vase – model 83/20 – designed by Bodo Mans in the 1960s/70s. The vase is a characteristic design of German studio ceramics from this period, combining a clear, almost archaic form with an expressive lava glaze in black-brown and white-gray.
The striking contrast between the dark ceramic base and the softly flowing white glaze, which resembles melted snow, is particularly beautiful. The simple handle further emphasizes the sculptural effect of the form.
The handcrafted lampshade is covered with a Japanese fabric depicting stylized dogs on a dark gray background. The minimalist black-and-white design of the fabric harmonizes exceptionally well with the vase and, when illuminated, creates a very calm, graphic play of light.
Dimensions:
– Total height of the lamp: approx. 42 cm
– Vase: 20 cm high, approx. 14 cm wide
– Lampshade: 20 × 21 cm
Conversion to a Lamp
The vase was carefully converted into a lamp. No drilling was done, so the original condition and collector's value of the ceramic are fully preserved.
Technology – Wireless & Flexible:
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED light source and is completely wireless. It charges via USB-C and provides up to approximately 12 hours of light. The light source is dimmable and can be controlled via remote control. Multiple light colors are available. Suitable for sheltered outdoor areas such as balconies or patios.
A distinctive mid-century piece that blends Fat Lava, Scandinavian clarity, and Japanese-inspired graphic design.
