For sale: a rare design icon of German post-war modernism: the WR 119 secretary desk by Wilhelm Renz. This piece is likely from a very early production run, as the components are authentically marked with the number 13 – a true collector's item.
High-quality cherry veneer with a warm patina and original, pull-out Formica writing surface.
Characteristic raised side panels and delicate legs create a "floating" appearance.
All locks close easily (original keys included), and the drawers and pull-outs run smoothly.
The secretary desk is in pristine, original condition. Age-related wear, such as minor veneer loss on one front and one back leg (at the very bottom), as well as traces of historical repairs, attest to the authentic patina of this 70-year-old design classic. The piece is sturdy, technically sound, and ready for immediate use.
