This early Borek Sipek candlestick is a striking example of postmodern glass art. The design is characterized by an organic, branching structure reminiscent of natural forms, executed in a refined combination of clear and dark glass. The candlestick is crafted from mouth-blown glass, where the transparent base and arms elegantly contrast with the deep purple-black candle holders and the core of the stem. The object accommodates seven candles and displays the mastery of glasswork for which Sipek is known. The signature is visible on the underside of the base.
