Product description
Beautiful Three-Piece Syrian Room Divider This room divider is an authentic piece of craftsmanship from the early 20th century (circa 1910). The panels are crafted from walnut. Each panel has a hinged window with a traditional mashrabiya (latticework) in cedar and beech. This delicate latticework allows light to pass through while providing privacy. The panels are richly carved and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Elegant motifs and Islamic calligraphy are also incorporated. The screen has a warm appearance and immediately brings an oriental ambiance to any room. There are imperfections and some old restorations, but these blend seamlessly into the piece's charm. (See photos) Dimensions: Width: approx. 180 cm (3x60 cm) Depth when closed: approx. 10 cm Height: approx. 180 cm Weight: approx. 35 kg
