Rare pair of hand-blown Murano glass flutes, with a slender and elegant silhouette, adorned with a twist of cobalt blue, ruby red ribbons and opalescent threads from the bowl to the foot, which is a disc of colorless glass.
Purchased individually in a luxury boutique on Rue du Bac in Paris, in the 1990s. The original label was removed at the time, but the style, place of purchase, and especially the proportions of the bowl - almost identical to those of the historic "3/62" collection by Nason (Murano), still produced today - strongly suggest this attribution. Hand-blown pieces, with the slight natural variations inherent in artisanal work.
