The Driade Costes chair marks a turning point in Philippe Starck's career. The designer, who originally created the chair for the Parisian Café Costes, began his long and successful collaboration with the Italian design house Driade with this chair collection.
Designed to make service staff easier, the Driade Costes chair's slender three-legged base became its distinctive signature feature. The gracefully curved backrest is made of plywood in various shades, complemented by a matching leather cover. The Driade Costes chair's polyurethane foam padding provides exceptional comfort. Alternatively, the comfortable chair is also available with a full leather cover that completely covers the backrest and seat.
