This double bed (200 × 200 cm) was designed by Maroeska Metz in a medieval-inspired, sculptural style and reflects her early artistic practice. The design deliberately avoids refined finishing, preserving a raw and honest, handcrafted appearance.
The bed is constructed from unfinished metal and is fully demountable. It is delivered without a slatted base. This design originates in 1989, and this is the third time it will be made. As this be is going to be ordered newly, it will take some time before it is ready to be picked ups, this can take 2-4 months.
Both functional and autonomous in character, the bed can be understood as a sculptural object as well as a sleeping structure, positioned at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and artistic practice.
