Product description
This double bed (200 × 200 cm) was designed by Maroeska Metz in a medieval-inspired, sculptural style and reflects her early artistic practice. The design deliberately avoids refined finishing, preserving a raw and honest, handcrafted appearance.
The bed is constructed from unfinished metal and is fully demountable. It is delivered without a slatted base. This piece was produced in 2025 as a remake of the original design from 1989, making this design realised only twice.
Both functional and autonomous in character, the bed can be understood as a sculptural object as well as a sleeping structure, positioned at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and artistic practice.
