This iconic “Diplomat” table or desk lamp, also often referred to as Model Z, is the successor to the Decora Z model designed in the 1950s by the famous architect and designer Louis Kalff and produced by Philips in the late 1950s. '60s, '70s to the '80s. Since the model came out after the retirement of Louis Kalff , but is completely identical to the Decora model except for a different shape of lampshade, it is generally assumed that this model was designed by the Philips design team with the approval of Louis Kalff . Philips label present on the brass plate on the lampshade.
The lamp has been tested and is fully functional. The lamp comes into its own with a silver-colored top mirror LED lamp (not included).
