Absolute Dutch Design classic.
This already famous vase is an icon of modern design from the 1980s,
Very different production application than other glass vases, this vase is not made of blown glass but composed of 3 glass plates glued together with silicone sealant. One corner of each rectangular plate has been cut off. Geometric shapes and clear minimalist simplicity are characteristic of van Schijndel's product design. The Delta Vase was originally designed as a one-off shape experiment in 1981. The reactions were so positive that production of the vase was started soon thereafter. In 1984, the Delta vase won first prize in the "Arango International Design Contest Glass that Works" in Miami.
The Delta vase is 23 cm high and 19 wide.
The vase is in fine condition; no damage.
