Original Delfi dining table designed by Carlo Scarpa and Marcel Breuer for Gavina, Italy, late 1960s.
An iconic piece of Italian modernist design featuring two sculptural monolithic bases and a rectangular Carrara marble top.

Condition:
Very good original condition. The marble shows a consistent natural patina with minimal edge softening, typical of a well-preserved piece that has remained in place for decades.
Provenance:
Private ownership in Vienna since circa 1970. The table has remained in the same location and has not been restored or modified. Very few, very small almost invisible scratches. Table was almost always covered with tablecloth.
Characteristics of early Gavina production (1968–1969):
Noticeable overhang of the marble top (“floating effect”)
Monolithic sculptural bases
Invisible metal/nylon pin construction
Proportions consistent with early production
