Daum-Nancy-France
Pair of Sirius model lamps in clear crystal, ovoid in shape, a wide and powerful frieze of stylized foliage adorns the lower part, resting on a straight heel, narrow neck housing the socket and its stem.
Signed Daum- Croix de lorraine- Nancy France on the heel for one and Daum- Croix de Lorraine France for the other.
New off-white cotton conical shades.
The Sirius model was created by Michel Daum in 1952 (see a Sirius model bowl reproduced in Daum Les années 50, by François Duret-Robert, Les éditions de l'amateur, page 153). Note that the Sirius model is quite similar to a Sorcy model bowl reproduced in the same book, page 134-135, the frieze being slightly lower.
Very minor scratches on each, with no major aesthetic impact.
Electrical fittings professionally refurbished.
