Bring authentic Scandinavian mid-century modernism into your home with this striking 2-seater lounge sofa. The sofa features the original manufacturer's label on the underside and was made in the 1970s by EMC Møbler aps in Denmark.
Slatted Back:
The back is distinguished by beautiful, horizontal slats of solid teak. This fine woodwork allows the sofa to be placed anywhere in the room.
Sculptural Frame:
Crafted from high-quality, solid teak with a warm, rich grain. The elegant frame flows seamlessly into organically curved armrests.
High-Quality Upholstery:
Features the original loose black leather cushions with classic button tufting.
Ergonomic Profile: The slightly reclined seating position provides deep, relaxed comfort.
Condition & Construction:
This vintage sofa is in honest, beautiful original condition with age-related wear that contributes to its historical character.
Frame:
The solid teak frame is sturdy and free of cracks. There is a minimal, age-related slight instability (a little wobble) when unloaded, which can easily be remedied with felt glides. The armrests show light surface scratches and the typical, natural darkening from decades of use.
Leather:
The original black leather is soft, durable, and very comfortable. It displays a charming vintage patina and slight creases, as well as minimal wear on the edges of the seat cushions, but is free of deep tears or open seams.
Suspension:
The underside features the original Danish webbing suspension. For its age, it is in impressive condition – all webbing is intact, firmly attached to the frame, and provides classic, cozy vintage seating comfort.

Frame: The solid teak frame is robust and free of structural cracks. There is a very slight, typical vintage wobble to the frame when unweighted, which can easily be balanced out with felt floor protectors. The armrest curves show light surface scuffs and natural darkening where hands have rested over time.
Leather: The original black leather remains strong, supple, and very comfortable. It exhibits gentle vintage crinkling and minor surface rubbing on the seat cushion profiles, but is free of deep punctures or open seams.
Underside Support: The underside features the original, authentic Danish fabric strap suspension system. It is in highly impressive vintage condition for its age—all straps are completely intact, securely attached to the frame, and free of rips or fraying, providing authentic, comfortable mid-century seating support with a classic vintage give.
