Danish HK20 Bubi lamp designed by Henning Koppel in 1972. This model was manufactured by Pandul (this example) and, since 2024, by Carl Hansen & Søn.
It was his grandson's summer hat that gave Henning Koppel the inspiration for this lamp. The combination of chrome-plated steel and acrylic creates an elegant teardrop shape.
Due to this shape, it can be used as a pendant lamp as well as a table lamp, provided a plug is added.
The lamp has only a few very light scratches on the chrome-plated steel that are barely visible in photographs. Otherwise, the lamp is in excellent condition and features the manufacturer's sticker (see photo).
The HK20 Bubi lamp was one of Henning Koppel's rare lamp designs. As an artist and sculptor, Henning Koppel prioritized form over functionality, resulting in playful designs.
