Danish Butterfly wall shelf designed by Poul Cadovius in 1958. It was manufactured by Cado in a single piece of steam-bent teak plywood.
The design originated by chance when Cadovius was experimenting with bending steel plates, which led to the graceful, curved supports. It deliberately mimics the lightness and elegance of butterfly wings, making it both functional and decorative.
This early version is in very beautiful condition with no damage to the wood.
