Elegant Danish armchair from the 1960s in teak, expressing Grete Jalk’s organic modernism, with original structure and refined proportions.
Iconic model “118” armchair designed by Grete Jalk for France & Daverkosen, Denmark, 1960s. The teak structure, with its fluid and well-balanced lines, reflects the designer’s approach, focused on the dialogue between ergonomics and visual lightness. Grete Jalk, one of the few prominent female figures in post-war Danish design, collaborated with France & Daverkosen to create furniture defined by high-quality production and a distinctive formal clarity. The seat and backrest retain their original structure; the cushions have been renewed and reupholstered in a very light beige fabric, respectful of the original character.
Good condition. May show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs.
