Salvador Dalí was a Spanish painter and is considered one of the most important representatives of surrealism. As a child he was already very interested in painting. He received his first painting lessons at the age of ten from the impressionist artist Ramón Pichet.
In 1941, Dalí gave up his surrealist style for more universal artistic themes.
