Cordless vase lamp – suitable for balconies, patios, or living rooms – crafted from a designer vase by Steuler Keramik.
This table lamp is based on a vase from the renowned "Zyklon" series, designed by Cari Zalloni. Cari Zalloni (1937–2012) was an Italian designer who first gained recognition for his expressive ceramic designs for the German company Steuler Keramik. From the 1960s onward, as head designer, he shaped the brand's image with organic forms, bold colors, and experimental glazes – particularly with iconic series like "Zyklon." He also designed glass objects for WMF, as well as swimwear and skiwear. In the 1980s, his Cazal brand sunglasses became a defining element of hip-hop culture in New York City. Artists such as Run-D.M.C. and LL Cool J wore his designs. Today, Cari Zalloni is considered a versatile designer who has had a lasting impact on both post-war European ceramics and international pop and streetwear culture.
The vase features his signature cyclone decor: concentric, circular structures that appear to be rotating into the surface. Combined with the deep blue glaze, this creates a striking visual depth that lends the compact, cubic form a distinctive presence.

Careful conversion to a lamp: The vase has been carefully converted into a lamp using a securely anchored, yet removable, plug-in solution. The lamp base is weighted for stability. The vase opening is sealed with a high-quality brass cap. The vase's collector's value, including its embossed base, is fully preserved.
Technology – wireless & flexible: E27 socket with a brass finish. The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed using the included remote control, and several light colors are available.
Thanks to its wireless operation, the lamp is particularly well-suited for locations without a direct power outlet, such as balconies, patios, or gardens.
The lampshade is covered with a Japanese cotton fabric featuring a koi motif. The pattern depicts stylized carp and water movements, creating a calm and flowing visual effect.
The fabric is highly translucent, ensuring a particularly soft and even distribution of light. Combined with the deep blue vase, it creates a harmonious and visually appealing overall impression.
