Product description
Cordless table lamp – suitable for balconies, patios, or living spaces – upcycled from a ceramic vase by the renowned pottery manufacturer Übelacker – from the West German Pottery era of the 1970s.
This vase lamp combines a distinctive ceramic vase from the 1960s/70s with an elaborately handcrafted lampshade from Roomlight Studio. Thanks to its cordless design, the lamp can be used flexibly – both indoors and in sheltered outdoor areas.
The vase exhibits a design language typical of West German Pottery, with a clearly structured form and side handles. The glaze in vibrant orange and muted green underscores its mid-century character. The manufacturer is not definitively identifiable – stylistically, the vase is reminiscent of Dümler & Breiden products, but it does not bear their typical markings.

Careful Conversion to a Lamp
The vase has been carefully converted into a lamp using a securely anchored, yet reversible, plug-in solution. The lamp base is weighted for stability. The vase opening has been sealed with a high-quality brass cap.
The vase retains its collector's value.

Technology – Wireless & Flexible:
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed using the included remote control – several light colors are available.
Thanks to its cordless design, this lamp is particularly well-suited for locations without a direct power outlet, such as balconies, patios, or gardens.
The Lampshade

The lampshade is based on a cage-like frame covered with orange and turquoise textile threads. The threading is done by hand, creating a vibrant, slightly transparent texture.
When switched on, it produces a distinctive play of light: the colored threads filter the light, casting delicate, vertical lines of light into the room. The shade's colors echo the tones of the vase and enhance the three-dimensional effect of the ceramic base.
