A copper artwork by Dennis Thomson. He was active in Rhodesia in the 1960s and 70s. He created 3D copper plaques of animals and plants in the wild.
The base is a teak frame topped with an etched copper plate and a three-dimensional, highly detailed copper protea.
This artwork features its original maker's label on the back:

The copper has a radiant sun effect, and the teak frame accentuates this beautifully.
