This ‘Congresso’ bookcase by Lips Vago is a beautiful example of Italian functional design from the 1970s. The minimalist design combines clean lines with an industrial look.
The cabinet features a slim, vertical frame with multiple evenly spaced shelves that are height-adjustable. The raised edges ensure that books and objects remain firmly in place, while the raised ends of the shelves also function as integrated bookends.
Thanks to its open design, the cabinet can be used not only as a bookcase but also functions excellently as a subtle room divider within an interior. A timeless and versatile design with a strong graphic character.
The bookcase is in good vintage condition, with signs of use consistent with its age.
