About the artist: Graduated from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem in 1993 and has always worked as a visual artist thereafter. In 2008 in the TV program "Sterren op het doek" Twan de Vos, along with the artists, Brigitte Mulders and Corstiaan de Vries were invited to do a portrait of Paul de Leeuw. De Vos was asked to create a portrait in linocut. Paul de Leeuw ultimately selected Twan's portrait from the three artworks! This work was exhibited at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and the Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum, among others. Twan de Vos died June 19, 2019 in Wageningen.
