Beautiful vintage sideboard model ‘Combi Nr. 109’, designed by Louis van Teeffelen and produced by the Wébé Furniture Factory in the 1960s. This piece originates from Amsterdam, where it served for decades in a stylish home office.
The sideboard has been carefully restored with respect for the original design and the characteristic patina. The teak wood has been refinished with a protective satin-matte finish, allowing the warm color and vibrant grain to come fully into their own again. The subtle contrast between the dark solid frame and the lighter teak fronts gives the furniture extra depth and emphasizes the elegant lines.
In addition to its beautiful appearance, the sideboard is also particularly thoughtfully laid out. Behind the left flap is a compact bar area with a mirror and two small drawers, ideal for storing glasses and bar accessories. Behind the two doors on the right side lies a spacious cupboard with shelves, while four wide drawers are located underneath. The result is a surprising amount of practical storage space, without the calm, balanced design losing any of its strength. What truly sets this model apart are the refined details. The inlaid ceramic tiles by Jaap Ravelli form a subtle artistic accent and stand out beautifully against the warm teak wood. Combined with the organically sloping sides, the slender tapered legs, and the characteristic 'smiling face' handles, the result is a design that is both elegant and distinctly individual.
In short, a special sideboard in which refined design, high-quality materials, and Dutch craftsmanship come together in a natural way. A timeless design that will effortlessly last for decades to come.
