Beautiful vintage table lamp/lampshade, from the 1950s-1960s, featuring an organic, spherical "cocoon" shape made of Cocoon membrane. 100% made in Italy with the original label under the base.
This rare Cocoon-style table lamp stands out from the others due to the material and techniques used to create the lampshade; it is a plastic material sprayed to create silk-like filaments that, when layered, create a kind of "cocoon," almost reminiscent of cotton candy.
The solid red Pelissandro wood base is a key element of these lamps, adding a touch of warmth to the design.
The wood is carefully crafted to achieve a smooth, uniform surface, and the red color was chosen to create a chromatic contrast with the lampshade.
