In this work, a delicate watercolor of a Fuchsia flower, painted by Lieke's grandmother, is transformed into a layered, abstract image. Photography and transparency create a subtle transformation, a conversation between generations. Fuchsia "Lady Gray" features a photograph screen-printed onto four recycled acrylic plates: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. In layers, the full spectrum comes to life.

The 'Butterfly' series is a personal exploration of memory, transformation, and connection. I photographed my grandmother's watercolors through glass and water, causing colors and contours to fade, just like memories in time. This meditative process gives me peace while the art develops.
The name 'Butterfly' refers to the butterflies in which I often see my grandmother, symbols of transformation and freedom. This series celebrates the bond we share, while her spirit lives on in every work. Screen print on 4 recycled acrylic plates, oil-based ink in Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black,
