Product description
Rectangular coffee table with a black lacquered metal frame and a square, four-legged base supporting a top composed of three gray glazed lava stone tiles with bluish reflections depending on the light, decorated with black scarifications and red-yellow-orange ideograms evoking embers. The top is edged with a black lacquered metal corner trim. A metal spacer with openwork supports the table. Unsigned, but attributed to Robert and Jean Cloutier.
This table, in the same tones and motifs in gray or red, has appeared in numerous auction lots. One variation is still visible in Tajan's online general catalog.
Excellent condition with some signs of age. The three tiles are free of cracks. The reliefs are typical of glazed lava stone. A few small scratches under the metal base.
