This beautiful Bouillotte lamp with a metal shade is, of course, a real eye-catcher! In the past, it was placed in the center of a round gaming table, the so-called Bouillotte table, and the lamp served as the primary light source for the players involved in a round. As the stakes rose and the game became more exciting, the adjustable canvas shade could be lowered to better concentrate the light from the flickering flames of a fading candle. Nowadays, this lamp uses light bulbs (small E14 fitting), and this Bouillotte lamp is made of brass. The lamp is in vintage condition and shows a few signs of use and age here and there.
Supplied without the bulbs used.
