An exceptional Swiss table from the 1920s–40s, featuring a rare, solid chestnut wood top of an impressive 6 cm thickness and two original cast iron legs from the renowned Horgen-Glarus AG. This iconic combination was used in Swiss inns, workshops, and studios between 1920 and 1940 and is now among the most sought-after pieces of industrial furniture in the country.
The tabletop displays a vibrant, natural grain with an authentic patina, while the clearly defined cast iron legs underscore its industrial origins and the quality of its craftsmanship.
Condition: Well-maintained vintage patina with visible signs of age and use on the wood surface, minor edge wear, and slight irregularities in the solid wood. The cast iron legs are sturdy, structurally sound, and completely original.
