Beautiful old Chesterfield style seat, ear armchair, better known as wingchair, made from an oak base and upholstered in dark green leather, the back is padded, first half of the 20th century.
Usually these seats were placed near an open fire, the reason of the large side pieces, the so-called "wings", was to retain the radiant heat of the fireplace and to sit out of the draft, you can imagine how cozy it must have been, in addition, this armchair is very well seated, the seat is quality manufactured and can last for many years.
